Guest Speaker Highlight – Pierre-Alain Brandt

by | Mar 19, 2024 | Advocacy, Executive Education | 0 comments

Meet Pierre-Alain Brandt, an independent consultant with more than 25 years of experience in branding, communication, and creation, one of our distinguished guest speakers for the upcoming edition of our Executive Programmes in Advocacy and International Public Affairs, starting on 26 March 2024.

Could you tell us more about you and your professional experience?

I am Pierre-Alain Brandt, an independent consultant with over 25 years of expertise in branding, communication, and creation, spanning both national and international arenas. Throughout my career, I have served as a creative director for renowned network agencies, including Publicis, Havas and TBWA.

Sharing my wealth of knowledge and experience is a passion, and I do so through various training centres in Switzerland and abroad. Beyond the realm of consultancy, I also work on personal photographic projects inspired by the preservation of memory and showcase my work regularly in exhibitions.

How can your session help the participants in their learning journey?

In my session, we will focus on the following:

  • Identify the importance of the context and the human in all forms of communication.
  • Master 3D methodology and take a critical look at creation.
  • Recognise insights and assess their relevance.
  • Distinguish between the meaning of a creation and the sensations it conveys.

What does Advocacy mean to you?

For me, advocacy is about passionately supporting what matters most in my life. Whether it’s championing social causes, engaging with my students or expressing my values through art. It’s about making a positive impact and standing up for what I believe in, whether in my personal or professional life.

What do you like about passing on your knowledge?

What I like about it is the questions it raises rather than the answers it provides. Knowledge should enable us to question ourselves and propose new perspectives and horizons. It’s otherness that fascinates me, especially in the context of multicultural exchanges.

What advice would you recommend to participants looking to join your field of work?

Multiply information sources and never lose your critical faculties: today’s norm could be tomorrow’s exception.

What is your favourite quote?

“He who deliberates fully before taking a step will spend his whole life on one leg.” Chinese Proverb

What is your bedside book?

Introduction à la théorie de la Médiation : L’anthropologie de Jean Gagnepain by Jean-Luc Lamotte
